Names

I have a friend who is very inventive in giving me names - like professor, ramses, ozymandias, ozzy, …

Now I am serene storm. I like that! In Bangla it would be Shanto Jhor.

Remembering other descriptions by other people over the years, I think that’s a fair description.

In 2003, I was working with Jazz bassist Jean Claude Jones, in Jerusalem, on his accompaniment to my sacred texts based devotional songs. Singing the concluding mantra of the Heart Sutra, hearing JC’s string-play, I suggested he do a dramatic drone. JC laughed, and then went on to do just that, and we never stopped being tickled by the idea of a dramatic drone!
