Stop the killing!



When will this hate-filled calculas cease?
Will the slaughter of innocents bring you release?
Can the blood of babies secure peace?

It is more than the blood of innocents, the children. It is also the plight of the infirm and the aged, wandering the streets with their little bags of clothing. They have nowhere to go, and cannot walk far. How can we do this to them?

We must learn to put our grievances aside, and unite in deep compassion for the elderly, the infirm, and the children.

Such insanity cannot bring any lasting peace. It just creates new stories of violence.

thousands of years of violence is now brought live to our t.v. screens. maybe this will be enough to make us actually realise how pointless the killing is.

Great choice of words. These kind of phrases should be said all the time when conflicts take place. We should all think harder before letting violence and rage loose.

Indeed the killing is terrible. But unfortunately, the images of the killing and destruction, instead of showing the futileness of war and the ugly face of humanity, they are used as another weapon in the war. In Lebanon, in Iraq, every where.

Excellent point, Lucian. Pictures like this are used as propaganda weapons.

But not by our friend Rama, whom I believe to be interested only in stopping the violence on both sides.

I am with you Rama.
But I would have rather seen in your blog the picture of the Israeli grandmother and her grandchild who were killed by a Katyushka last week in Israel. This picture that you posted - we all saw many and many times. The Israeli casualties- no one sees.
The picture that you chose is (for me) a political statement.
