When I attended Fr Beckers' final service yesterday, I was humbled to be blessed with a vision of the magnificent beauty and highness of the living mission of the Jesuits in Bengal and eastern India, founded on knowledge, learning, succour, dignity and love for the downtrodden and oppressed, undertaken with spiritually inspired dedication.
I felt I had come home.
I am renewed and sanctified.
